A simple poll to get some numbers.....

PLEASE ONLY VOTE if you experience this on OS 3.0.1
Thanks

Had several restarts - under different circumstances, can not pinpoint what exactly causes the sudden restart. Have reported it several times on the forum. Hope Korg fixes the issue soon.

Guys, Sometimes when you use Direct Disk Function from A strange USB Pen, It can cause Restart, Just for your info! Try to have the set file on the SSD/HDD on the 4X, and see if the same set file cause any problems, So far just 2 restart on mine , im on UPD!
I have reported my set file to KORG Team/Italy Paolo, Sended my :set files and BKP Files to them.

BTW Thank you for this POOL!

Hi,

For Gigs i use just internal HD. Not SD not even USB. Nevertheless, I had 5 shutdowns up to now.

Any chance of changing the title? I am seeing the same mistake on many current posts...

It is v.3.1, not v3.0.1 (or variations thereof!) that’s the new OS!

3.1, everybody, please!

Just FYI, Pete started this Restart poll on July 5 regarding v3.0.1 before release of new version 3.1.0 on Jul 10.
That's why you got confused with the title.

NO!!!
This poll is for OS 3.0.1 ONLY and not 3.1.0

If we have a mix of versions here, it will not make any sense.

So PLEASE, OS 3.0.1 only

If you should get a shutdown with 3.1 then please make a separate post/topic

Thanks

My apologies. Mind you, I am confused as to why we need to do a poll for a problem in an OS that has already been updated..? Particularly with an anecdotal report that the new OS has fixed the issue.

Surely we are better served with a poll at this point asking if the new OS actually HAS fixed the issue for people that had it in 3.0.1?

Perhaps this thread needs closing? You are correct that the timeline confused me!

I would be unsurprised at this point that Korg’s focus is going to be entirely on 3.1. This thread seems very much a case of shutting the old stable door after the horse has bolted, been re-captured and put in a new stable!!!

Mind you, if there’s anything Korg might learn here, it’s that far more beta testing before an OS is released might go a long way to instilling confidence in the user base to immediately install a new OS without agonizing over whether it is going to fix older issues or introduce new ones. I know we all froth at the mouth for each new OS, but a couple of weeks more beta testing by people out in the real world doing real world stuff (particularly those using samples extensively) might prevent a buggy OS from destroying confidence in immediately upgrading...

My apologies for misunderstanding the point of this thread, hopefully this new OS can restore confidence in the process of immediately upgrading whenever the option is offered.

I am positive that Korg will be working on any 3.1 issues and not 3.0.1. This is the reason the problem report topic for 3.0.1 is now locked.

This poll is a count of the members who experienced the shutdowns using 3.0.1
As for 3.1.0, we do not know yet if there are any issues - so far so good.

Very Happy
