By the way of the circulation of my flagship commercial Ethnic Pa4X Next Premium Edition of 2Gb resources bundle , powered by WavesArt's
Kronos Ethnic Libraries ,I wanted to underline the superiority of Pa4X DNC sampler engine VS Kronos outdated HD1 engine of Triton age !

- First of all in DNC engine you can create a real 2 levels round robin while in Kronos HD1 I had introduced before 8 years an indirect semi-acceptable
WS method for this in WavesArt libraries that all in Korg store have adopted nowadays.
- DNC has real osc on/off switches when controllers are used (-+Y,SW1-3) while Kronos has only active OSC AMS that wastes polyphony muting notes ,
but also controllers have memory function and do not interrupt sound when released (thanks to Karma with re-programming WavesArt overrode this weakness).
- I won't mention the 24 OSC/24 Filters per Sound VS 4/2 per Program of HD1 , as I guess you all know ...
- The essential strong feature of DNC engine , is that it has bidirectional legato detection of playing keys and WavesArt advanced sound development
managed to create 2 levels of legato assignments according to playing notes spaces and bring Pa4X a step closer to VST production of real legato
strings/woodwinds while Kronos HD1 has none and the only legato option is portamento of ices age , suitable only for pure synths.

I want to remind you that portamento function shifts the pitch of initial pressed note to reach the tonality of destination note , and if this space is over
4 semitones the result is ridiculous for natural instruments sampled per semitone in HD1 , unlike Pa4X DNC engine & WavesArt complex sound development
where only legato destination sample is pitch shifted !

However there are 2 great lacking features in Pa4X that are required to be reviewed !
1) Amp Crossfades between 24 OSC at increasing order of OSCs.
2) Pa4X Sliders are missing as controllers option from OSC Amp function , and this prevents us from :
- Using 24 OSC to control multiple analog synth oscillators custom samples controlling them via sliders emulating legacy synths that are missing from PaSeries.
- Creating a real tonewheels organ with full real time control of all drawbars & percussion via sliders in a custom organ like WavesArt C3 Hammond.

Watch in bellow articulation demonstrating videos of how WavesArt advanced programming thanks to DNC engine , achieved to bring Pa4X Sound Library
into VST production software level.

Thanks for reading

OTOH, you would think the best sampler engine on the market would be able to track enough samples so that easy use of timesliced audio loops was possible without filling up all the slots LONG before you ran out of RAM... Twisted Evil

Yep , definitely it is , for the rest you'd rather use your computer , this is a hardware sampler , not a Rex player either a DJ console !

Actually I'm just demonstrating DNC features that can host a real guitar samples development , HERE at specific video point ,
you can hear to a more detailed sound of it.

Why would I want to lug a computer to a gig, and go through the hassles of syncing each Songbook entry with an REX player or a software sampler, when a simple addition to the OS (tracking more sample slots) would achieve the exact same thing?

You studio guys need to get out in the real world a bit more!

You also need to study Pa4X streaming method architecture in deep level and understand why this is impossible anymore Wink
And if you're interested , my opinion is that you will never meet this feature you're dreaming in any Korg product , they have
many serious real samplers' features to develop that are totally missing at present time , due to compete VST industry !
Why don't you try to share your relative thoughts in workstation sections of forum like "Korg Kronos" and taste the real world of skilled Musicians ?

Korg are going to have to address this sooner or later. Might as well start now.

1.5GB of sample data isn’t much use with only 15k sample slots if you want to time slice loops.

I won’t respond to your obvious supercilious slight. Too busy working to take it seriously..! Actual WORKING musicians don’t like using multiple pieces of gear when a simple OS fix would reduce the need to the one keyboard. 1.5GB of sample data is a HUGE number of timesliced loops. No need to stream, just load at the startup. Hundreds and hundreds of two bar loops. If that don’t sound like something a working musician could use, perhaps you aren’t as dialed in to what real working musicians need as you think?

The Audya’s superior drum section is entirely down to using audio loops rather than samples and MIDI tracks. The PA4X has enough RAM to do this, but not enough sample ID’s. Even if you have to load them at startup, there is incredible potential going unused while Korg drag their feet fixing this issue.

It took you some weeks for another irrelevant input in my topic , seems that you have run out of activity in other topics and still keeping blowing
whistles with "time sliced" nonsense of yours , give us a brake and open a new topic searching there for fans , at my topics you're not welcomed
and actually totally ignored !

Try to time slice 32nd note triplets in a 2 measure 128 bpm loop and let me know when you realized it's impossible. Now lets take a look at a 9 measure pitched snare fill/drop. Based on common methods they are programmed it will likely be too many slices for one multisample also it was originally programmed with one sample so any argument for using more than one sample and using time slice instead of programming it using the same method it was programmed with to begin with is just stupid. The tiny things that may be different in an audio loop are still limited to whatever was done in those few measures before they get repeated. Round robin style sampling and programming with a subtle pitch filter and LFO will make it so nobody can tell the difference and that would mean using about 100 samples total for 100 "loops" instead of 10k samples for the same 100 loops. The only argument for using loops is laziness and lack of skill.
