|

Hi guys, I'm posting here because I'm sure this is a Kronos issue.
Anyone familiar with Cakewalk (or Sonar)?
I'm specifying a bank/patch within CW (B and P here shown as None) on the channel strip
free picture hosting for ebay
and sometimes it does a bank/patch change (what I want) but most of the time, it will actually change/write the patch inside the combi itself, instead of selecting another combi and another patch. So it messes my Combi.
Anyone knows if I have to change something inside de Kronos or is the issue with CW?
Cheers!

Maybe use the Kronos SEQ mode instead of Combi mode? _________________ "To me the synthesizer was always a source of new sounds that musicians could use to expand the range of possibilities for making music."

Hi Ron, thanks for your reply.
I get the same result. I thought I would get a quick answer asking here since that must be pretty basic, perhaps I'll have more luck asking on CW forum. |

Found it!
With the Kronos, bank changes have to be done on the Global midi channel as setup in the Kronos Global midi setup page. In my case it is channel 1. So in essence I had to create a track in CW dedicated only for program changes on Ch.1, while the other tracks are using other midi channels to play each instruments.
All I had to do was to read the Kronos user manual.
