|
|
Hi everyone,
I'm a new Korg user, who purchased a Korg Pa4x 61.
Now I wanna use a usb-stick and/or a ss-card for store backup's, load new material, etc.
My question is: how do I make the best index on these devices?
Should I make a copy of the complete backup and add my new files there?
Does anyone can give me a screenshot of the way a disk should be made?
Thank you _________________ Korg Pa5x 61

There is no right or wrong way - just treat it like you would on a PC.
Format it on the PA4X first and create some folders.
Example of a disk may look like this:-
Folders:
SETS ----contains saved SETs
STYLES -contains STYLES (downloads etc etc)
TEXTS---contains text files for SONGBOOK lyrics
MIDI-----contains MIDI files
MP3------contains MP3 files
Cheers

Format the USB stick on your Pa.
With the USB stick in a Computer create some new Folders and name some of them:-
Backup
SaveAll
Direct
Updates
Plus whatever else you want.
Download the latest Operating System, extract it to your USB drive and save the Zip file in the Updates folder
Go to
https://korgworld.co.uk/pages/osimo-next-for-pa4x?_pos=4&_sid=a728b397d&_ss=r
Download Osimo and extract it to your USB drive
Eject the USB stick correctly and insert it in your Pa.
Create a Backup file and name it as you want and save it to Backup folder
Create a SaveAll file and save it to the SaveAll folder
Now you have a good starter USB drive. _________________ Biggles
