|
|
Hi! I am so glad I found these forums!
I just got a Korg Radias (with keyboard) second-hand, and after menu diving all around, I realized that changing the scale (e.g. from the default "Equal" to, say "Pytha" in P02-COMMON), the notes I play on the keyboard don't change when the scale changes. Changing the ScaleKey in this context does nothing, either.
Is there some setting that disallows me from modifying this function, or does this bad boy need a factory reset? |

Hi Menhirs!
Congratulations on getting the Radias, it's a great synth! Hope you enjoy it!
What is it that you expect should happen, that doesn't happen?
When you change the scale in P02 it should change the tuning(pitch) for the applicable notes.
For example, I checked now with a guitar tuner app playing C4 with an init program:
Equal: 261.5 Hz
Major: 264 Hz
Arabic: 262.6 Hz
Pytha: 262 Hz
Maybe you tried a scale and note where the difference in tuning was too small to hear?
One thing you can try: If you play a D4 with Equal and then change the scale to to Slendoro the change should be clear to hear, as the Slendro second note is closer to a D#(-35 cent) than a D.
Hope this helps! _________________ M3 | Kronos | Radias | Wavestation | Cubase 9.5 |
