Hello

I would like to present a short demo clip announcing a new sound library, which will be available in October this year.

I do hope that this video will make you interested in that new product.

Best Regards,
Sounds of Planet

I am very interested, as Kronos could use numerous guitars plus appropriate FX

there is a larger problem- many owners have program banks booked solid plus we have a backlog of sounds waiting for an empty program bank.

Unfortunately, Korg Inc has not responded to this important request, to update Kronos OS to include more empty banks.

Maybe the approved merchants could send a word or two to Korg.
Because they are sure concerned by the fact about these needs of empty banks for the customers ! Laughing

These guitars sound great.

But, if I am playing live and I need to have immediate access to every one of these new guitar sounds, in addition to every
single cowbell and panflute that I own of the 1664 programs and 1792 combis, then these sound developers certainly need to work this out
with Korg. I mean, what are they thinking? Maybe I will just have to buy a second (or third) Kronos.

They just need to stop.

I need some killer new guitars and these sound awesome, but my Kronos banks are full.
The only way to load new sounds would be to overwrite banks that are already full with 1664 programs 1792 combis. Bummer.
Did I mention I need immediate access to every one at any second?

When I am in my studio, I suppose I could back up my current banks reload them later after auditioning new libraries, but that takes a few seconds. Way too much time.
I know I don't have to load the whole bank, but drilling down another level to load a single program requires an extra click.
Too much trouble.

Maybe I could create custom PCG's that contain the best of what I need for any project or band, but that would require me to organize and learn the K file system. Too inconvenient.

I should have bought a nord.

It's time for approved merchants to simply stop creating amazing new sound libraries.

P.S. Please ignore my personal challenges. Sounds Of Planet libraries really are amazing.

No new free banks - no new purchases of new libraries.

This has already been done many times, along the past months and years.
Our friend GregC, had initiated a poll about that and then, sent a letter to Korg Inc.

Korg is not interested in users' demands anymore, for a long time now.

Yes,

and Korg came back with a free new colour paint job for all their keyboards.

We have now discovered Korg own British Paints.

That's why we keep getting new coloured paint jobs on very old synth tech.

Hey Korg strike up a deal with Apple...put an A14X in your next synth! That'll through everyone else out of the water bro.

I agree that some more free banks would be great, but there is an easy enough solution - just weed out the sounds you never use (and never will). I guarantee that there will be several hundred presets that you can get rid of without a second thought.

It will take a little time, but you can do it gradually. That's what I do every once in a while. As a result, I currently have about four banks that are completely free, and I still have way too many sounds. Add in the thousands of sounds at my disposal in the gear I control from my Kronos, and the number I have available to me is ridiculous. It's like any bit of housekeeping. You might not feel inspired to do it, but you'll feel better afterwards for having done it. Very Happy

This method can be roughly called "crutches".

I don't really understand what you mean by the ''crutches'' comment, but I do know that my PCG became much more interesting and easy to work with once I'd got rid of a truckload of unimpressive tuba, trumpet, sax, etc sounds and loaded up something that I actually liked.

It's also possible to build up several different PCGs and to switch between them as and when required, of course.
