As the Wavestation SR lacks a vector joystick and needs an external controller to take full advantage of its abilities is anyone using the Korg nanoPad2 for the vector controller ? _________________ Korg Wavestation SR, Yamaha SY55 + Analog & Digital cards. The Korg Kontrol editor allows the nanoPAD2 touch pad to be setup so that CC#16 and CC#17 messages can be sent for X and Y positions on the touch pad, respectively, and the SR will recognise these as Vector Joystick X and Y, so yes, it should work. It will need some sort of MIDI host between the nanoPAD2 and the SR's MIDI In DIN connector. It could be a PC with USB to MIDI interface and running some sort of MIDI bridge software, or something like the Kenton MIDI Host mk2:

The nanoPAD2 touch pad, by default, is configured to send a "touch enable" signal on CC#16, when touch is detected, with values of 127 for touch on and 0 for touch off, which will mess with the X direction data, so needs to be disabled. Again this can be done using the Korg Kontrol editor.
