i want to use my yamaha motif xs88 as a slave for my kronos ...i want to try the piano sounds but with the 88 xs8 not my kronos 61 keys ...
can anyone help me with a video or detailed steps? |

Run a MIDI cable out from your Motif to the MIDI in on the Kronos.
Configure your Motif to use a MIDI channel - I prefer channel 2 myself.
Turn Local Control Off on the Motif, and set the MIDI clock to External.
Easiest way to configure the timbre on the Kronos, for me anyway, is to copy the Program you want to control from the external keyboard into a Combination and set the MIDI channel for that timbre (Timbre Parameter tab, MIDI page) to the MIDI channel you configured above. |
