Hi there, hope everyone is keeping safe. Is there anyway to delete midi's from the usb stick whilst it is plugged into the piano.
Also, after formating a new larger usb stick on the piano, I then copied from the old stick to the new stick, only to find the piano then came up with the message.... couldn't find the source. All I did was a straight copy.
I hope some day Korg will remedy this so you can have more interaction on the piano without having to keep taking the usb stick in and out all the time.

now I do not know which Korg you have and I understand it correctly, but you can save it on memory card or hard drive, then you do not need usb in and out all the time. |

Page 976 of the current v3.1 Manual describes how to delete files on your PA4X
The Manual also describes in great detail how to manage files. _________________ Biggles

Are you using the USB as a DIRECT SET? _________________ PA4X-76, Karma, WaveDrum GE, Fantom 8 EX

Thanks for the replies... I have the Korgpa4x. I have never been able to get the midi card you put in the back to work.
I use the front usb port to store set lists to each song book. What I was trying to do is delete unwanted midi's from the stick instead of taking it out and deleting on the computer.
THE LIGHT BULB HAS GONE ON. in the drop down menu it has delete. I think I must be developing a COVID BRAIN.
Thanks for the help on this Marion. |

Hi Marion
Glad you got it sorted out.
With regard to the SD card at the rear - this should work fine.
Might be worth removing it and checking that it does actually work on your computer
Might be worth re-formatting it or replacing it.
MAKE SURE YOUR PA4X is COMPLETELY OFF and disconnected from POWER before removing/inserting the SD CARD - THIS IS CRITICAL.
Cheers

Thanks Pete, I gave up on it, but I may have another go with another mini card and see what happens.
I always forget the drop down menu options, I won't in the future though. To think I have spent nearly two years taking that pesky usb stick in and out when I could do it on the keyboard all the time, what an idiot.
Keep Safe, and keep dodging all the bad things.
