I am the second owner of an M3R, that I've had since the mid-90's.
I used it sparingly in my home studio setup. I've now noticed that when I want to scroll up or down among the presets - the +1 Button no longer goes up in a single number. Most of the time it jumps two or even three presets. Then I have to used the -1 Button to precisely backtrack to the preset I wanted. And on some days, the -1 Button will skip two at a time.
I am not a button masher, and use a light touch when scrolling presets. Do these two buttons wear out...? What are my remedy choices...? New contacts? Contact cleaner spritz...? I would love a foot pedal to move among the presets.
I have a Roland A30 midi controller keyboard, which has the GS buttons. They jump to specific (not random) patches, and there's like 16 of them. It's not the answer to my problem - but I could probably program the 16 buttons to be my favorite M3R presets.
Also... same unit... different question. Does anyone know of any rack ear sources besides the one fellow in Southeast Asia who wants $50 a pair...? They don't have to be Korg... as long as they work, and line up, screw-wise. |
