|
|
Hi! Does anybody knows if I can change the notes over the keys, for example plaing the C key but insted of C sound just another note?
Im not talking about transposing... I mean makin a totally diferent notes organization, for example the C D E F G keys but the G F E D C notes on those keys.... Im not sure if Im clear... english is not my idiom haha
I mean... remaping the hole keyboard in a totally different notes organiazation...
this can be done in an old kurzweil k2000... Im assuming that it can be done on kronos as well....
comments are welcome and apreciate!! |

Yep, it can be done. Check out the Global P2: Controller/Scales > User Scales page. You can create a custom one there, either doing it on a octave basis (each octave is the same) or on individual key basis.
Note you set your preferred scales for each Prog, Combi, Seq within those... so the Global section is for creating your custom scale. And of course there are lots of built-in scales too. |

I don´t think so... Ive already explore that option but it only can change the existing note in the order of a semitone or so... but not changing the entire register.... may i missing something over there? |

Well, you can try using a custom keytracking on the pitch of your oscillators... you can definitely reverse the entire keyboard and have it play backwards using the pitch slope in an HD-1 program.
There may be way to use KARMA's ability to re-route notes, as well. Someone will jump in with something I'm sure. |

Thanks, Ill wait. Imexpecting to do this on any engine, sepecially the sgx piano. And not only revert, also randomize to my tase... Im experience some alternatives ways to play. May be the answers are in the karma or the pich as you said... I just cant find it! thanks buddy... |

The parameter that you looking for is Pitch Slope.
At HD 1 is easy to find on OSC/Pitch. Pitch Slope is +1.0 by default, that mean C to C# is up half tone. If change it to -1.0 will have the reversed key but can control the Pitch Slope level with AMS.
So try to control the Pitch Slope with AMS : AMS Mixer1-intensity +12.
Prepare the AMS MIXER 1 as A+B, AMS - A - LFO2, intensity 99. AMS B it's up to you.
Set the LFO 2 with following value:
Waveform Random1(S&H)
Freq - 00 (is stoped)
Key sync on
The Pitch Slope now is random.
The Pitch Slope is available on MOD7 to Exi>OSC Main - Pitch Slope
At AL-1 Exi>Pitch Common - Pitch slope.
Ep-1 Exi>Basic OSC - Pitch Slope
STR-1 EXi>PCM OSC Pitch (if use the PCM) or String Pitch - Pitch slope
MS20 can be Patch somehow to change the normal Pitch slope I guess.
Polysix I'm not sure but SGX is impossible. _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

OMG that´s really an answer!! Thank you very much Dan!!
Still cant randomize.... there always will be a lineal register |

If still not random please check:
Pitch Slope Intensity 00 -> AMS Intensity 12.00 or -12.00
AMS: AMS MIXER 1
Prepare the AMS MIXER:
A+B
AMS A - LFO2 Intensity +99
Prepare the LFO2:
Waveform RANDOM1(S&H)
Speed 00
Key Sync On or Off
Other Solution:
Keep the Pitch Slope normal ( Intensity +1 No AMS)
Set the OSC PITCH LFO2 Intensity to 12.00
Prepare the LFO2 as I write above. (Random1, speed 00).
Will have the random effect on the scale and for each note as well.
If still not figure out please contact me on contact@danstesco.ro and will show you on Skype or Zoom. _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

Would this effect every program since it's global or could you save it as one custom program so you don't have to undo it to play normally with other programs?
I'm interested in reversing the pitch from low/high to high/low on the keyboard but for just one program.
Thanks |

This settings work in a program. Not global.
To reverse the key is enough to change the Pitch Slope from +1 to -1 for each OSC. Of course for SGX engine not working. _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |
