Did I miss something? Korg said there would be a program to convert Kronos patches to the Nautilus format. Did they keep their promise? If so where is it? |

Yes I’m the one who posted that earlier. In other words there is nothing available to convert Kronos programs to Nautilus. Did Korg promise that or did someone else pull that out of thin air? If Korg promised it, then it doesn’t make them look good. |

What exactly are you looking to convert? Many programs load just fine, though not drums nor KARMA (neither critical aspects of many programs).
I have many free programs at my site I haven't bother to "convert" because they load just fine as is. I did convert the "Famous Synth Sounds" as I wanted to use the new Nautilus arps to improve the emulations.

I loaded INT-A into the Nautilus. As expected, the SGX-2 programs did not sound as none of the pianos between the Kronos and Nautilus match up. It takes little effort to scroll through and find an appropriate piano and press save. The other programs sounded fine with the exception of the few dependant on KARMA. Drums obviously are off.
INT-B is a different story as HD-1 there are many new samples and some old ones are no longer available. Quite a few, I dare say most, of the INT-B programs can be found on the Nautilus though they are scattered and not in the same order. HD-1 is where a conversion program from Korg would be beneficial if they haven't already reprogrammed the sounds for the Nautilus.
Pipes on Sunday is on the Nautilus
The Emerson/ELP organs should come over just fine as they're EXi.
C093 - C102 as they're EXi
Don't know about the two pipe organ programs you mentioned. There are many new stereo pipe organ samples on the Nautilus.
Again KARMA and drums will not sound properly in any of these.

|

SO, I don't see a "Nautilus" section on shop.korg.com. Still just Kronos sounds.
If I were to purchase a EXS soundset(librariy) like KApro's legato orchestra (or Prog rock orchestra) would it load & work on the Nautilus as designed since it depends on it's own multisamples, or does it also use some Kronos internal samples? Would the Nautilus have those other samples?
Kinda getting tired of waiting on Korg to release a conversion program from Kronos to Nautilus and was wondering what sort of libraries would be possible to purchase and use now on the Nautilus _________________ Current gear: Kurzweil Forte 7, Kurzweil PC361, Mojo 61, Korg Kronos X 61, Roland RD-88, Korg Nautilus 73 |

Kronos to Nautilus Library conversion is in progress so maybe will be available soon.
Don't purchase a Kronos Library for Nautilus. Will not work. _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

OK, thanks Dan, I understand a Kronos sound library can't be authorized on a Nautilus, makes sense _________________ Current gear: Kurzweil Forte 7, Kurzweil PC361, Mojo 61, Korg Kronos X 61, Roland RD-88, Korg Nautilus 73 |

So still no news on the conversion program? The Kronos is being discontinued , so is Korg going to wait until they’re all gone and say “oops, Kronos is gone so there’s no reason to make a conversion program”? |

Nautilus OS 1.2 detect and convert the KRONOS programs automatic. Combi must be adjust manually. Karma rout the timbre triggered from GCh and play to different MIDI ch. Nautilus not play that timbre directly. _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

Yes, and now there are LOTS of sound libraries in the KORG shop for Nautilus.
I plan on managing my 60gb HD and 3gb RAM very conciously to have only what I really need on my Nautilus (unlike my Kronos X where I just started downloading and adding libraries with abandon ! _________________ Current gear: Kurzweil Forte 7, Kurzweil PC361, Mojo 61, Korg Kronos X 61, Roland RD-88, Korg Nautilus 73 |
