Unfortunately half dampers use variable resistance potmeters and these aren't as standardized as simple + or - polarity damper pedals. The Roland DP10 will not work in half damping mode on Korg keyboards. You will need the Korg pedal if you want/need half damping. FWIW, I do have it but I never really consciously use half damping. It's perfectly possible to play without, although if you practice it a lot it can be useful. |

Stupid Question:
Do all of the pianos use half dampening, or just some of them? _________________ Fred

Well if you go by how it works on a real piano I don't think the feeling is even close, there is no resistance so your just moving your foot in a void. It also doesn't sound entirely the same, I don't think any manufacturer has attempted to sample it and I'm not sure how you would. As a modulation source, I think HD1 and SGX1/2 both respond to it so basically all pianos in the Kronos. |

Hello, so is there a way to solve the "Can't Calibrate" message? I see this happen with Roland and Korg pedals as well. |
