|
|
I've recently discovered the Pa1Xpro through a couple of YouTube vids and am blown away by some of the realistic sounds it has. I've been more of a traditional workstation/synth (i.e., Triton> Kronos) vs arranger workstations, so the arranger world is totally new for me.
As I listen to the demos, the first question I have is are these actual midi performances that have been recorded (as midi) to be played back for demo purposes? Or, are these actually live guitars/basses that have been recorded? They sound VERY realistic, so I have to ask if these are midi or audio recording.
As I've heard some of the sounds of the Pa1Xpro there are 2 preset sound patches in the demo below that I want to try to identify the sound patch names AND see if those preset patches can be found in other Korg workstations/synths.
The first is an electric guitar patch that starts at 6:03 of the video
The second patch is an an electric bass patch that immediately follows at 6:25.

One other question would be I know this is an older unit, but was wondering if these same (or similar) preset patches can be found on some of the newer model arrangers like the Pa2X or higher.
Thanks in advance for any info that can be shared. |

Hi
Firstly, they are all MIDI using internal sounds (multisamples etc...)
I think these types of sounds are available in later models.
I don't own a PA1xPro now but will do my best to identify them...

MUCH appreciated!
If you can identify the names of the patches, I'm hoping to find these same preset sounds in another later model Korg synth, workstation, or arranger, since these keyboards ares probably like 20 yrs old now. Also, since I really don't need all the features of a full arranger, would be great to find these same patches in a regular Korg synth or workstation.
Thanks again! |
