I know the O posts have been silent for a while but here goes if anyone views this. I shall put this on the Kronos too.

Should I buy an external midi controller or rely on the on-board adaptions (sliders /knobs) in the O. I wouldn't have to go into external mode in the O for example.

If I use the on-board patches in the O, will the external controller 'control' them or will it only work on sounds generated on my DAW by third party libraries through Kontakt or whatever?

I have in mind a Monogram Creative Controller set up in Cubase.

Hi, Patrick! I would think that your controller could control your DAW which could MIDI chain to your OASYS. Whatever patch you want to control, should be on the MIDI channel that your controller is output to.

I haven't really worked with a DAW, so hopefully someone else can chime in.

Mike,

Good to hear from you and thanks for your view. I'll go ahead.

Patrick
