I want to play midi files on a Laptop hooked up to a Korg TR. I have created a combo with bass on mc1 and drums on 10. My files were created on a Roland and contain all sorts of Roland sysex messages. How can I filter out the sysex messages so that they are ignored when played on the TR? _________________ Gear: Korg Tr76, Roland E50, M-audio 49 Key Rig, Roland BK9, Korg Micro-X. Logic for audio, Cubase for midi. |

Hi,
You could use my free software MidiToolBox or MidiOx for a PC or Midi Montor for Mac which can filter out Sysex messages.
However. As the sysex manufacturer and instrument id will be different in the Roland files the sysex will he totally ignored by the korg.
Cheers
Stuart

There are many times I have exclusive messages in the midi imported from Musescore 4 such as mixer volume.
In the Triton Extreme select the midi channel you want to set and in MENU select Track Edit, then erase control data. The codes I use most often are 0, 7, 10.
This is a link to the codes you can use (MIDI CC):
