|
|
Hi all,
I am wanting to know if it's possible to have a sound pan from Left to Right with the pan only starting when the note is released. For example, a string or synth sound remains in the Left channel while holding the note, but move across the spectrum to the Right channel once you release the note and the sound is fading away. I know there is an IFX which allows you to bounce a sound from Left to Right and back again, but I that's not what I'm after.
Also, many of the electric pianos which have effects like Tremolo, etc, are set up so the effect bounces repeatedly from L to R. What's the best way to make the effect Mono (so you get the oscillation) but the piano is still spread across the spectrum.

You should edit the AMP Pan parameter in program :
Pan R 127, AMS Pitch EG. +99 ( I use the pitch Eg to modulate the pan from Right to Left).
AMP EG Release around 86. (To keep the sound after Key Off).
Edit the Pitch EG:
Level - Start 99, Attack 00, Break 00, Release -99
Time - Attack 11, Deckay 30, Slope 30, Release 34 (or time you want to pan on Left).
Also you can use other Modulation for pan as AMS Mixer Smoothing or other EG . _________________ http://www.danstesco.ro |

Hi Dan,
Your response was really encouraging as this is something I have been wanting to do for ages but haven't found a way. However I don't seem to be having much success.
It sounds to me that when I use your settings and press the keys, the sound sweeps from the left to the right (reasonably quickly), and then stays on the right while I hold the note and on release. While this might be useful for some sounds, I was hoping to be able to do something a little different.
I am using an HD-1 program (strings) and want a slow attack with the sound on the right. Then, on release of the key, as the sound fades out it shifts from right to left.
I confess I don't really understand the AMS / Pitch function very well. What I have done is gone to P4 AMP/EQ. Is this the right Page?
Then, in Amp1/Driver1:
- Pan 127 (right)
- AMS Pitch EQ
- Intensity +99
Then in AMP1 EG I have been changing the "Envelope".
Is this what you were suggesting?.
