|
|
Hello all and forgive me if this is already answered. I googled it quite a bit but can't find the right terms.
Essentially, I want to take the kick drum track out of my DAW (REAPER) and use it to trigger the kick patch I created on the MS-20 which in turn, will record the audio back into my DAW.
I have the DAW routing figured out. I was assuming that I could use the audio output of the kick drum into the trigger in of the MS-20 to "trigger" the kick drum I created.
When I plug the audio out of my DAW into the trigger in of the MS-20 nothing happens. What is the correct way to do this. I want to do the same for the snare, ride etc...
Thanks. |

This allows trigger from external audio and uses the F-V Converter to adjust OSC frequency according to same external audio. You'll see when you get it going.
CABLES
DAW to MS-20 ESP section SIGNAL IN.
ESP TRIG OUT to TRIG IN.
OPTIONAL: ESP F-V CV OUT to one of the VCO CV IN
KNOBS ESP Section
SIGNAL LEVEL 5 watch PEAK light
LOW CUT FREQ 0
HIGH CUT FREQ 10
CV ADJUST 5
THRESHOLD 5 watch TRIG OUT light _________________ SC: https://soundcloud.com/kdub101010
