That’s the best looking keytar at this moment, and Roland put no less than 4 octaves full sized keys on this one, a big plus in my book. Add to this the Zen core engine and you got a powerful keytar which allows you to load patches from the Jupiters, Fantoms or Zenology for example.
And it has memory for wave expansion cards.
Having said that it’s a pity it misses the Supernatural guitars, for a typical performance instrument it would have been great to have them onboard.
And the IOS editor is a nuisance.
For a next generation it would be great if the keybed would allow more expressivity. The upcoming Osmose has such a keybed and it would be great if a next generation keytar were to feature a similar keybed. |
