In regards to JUST the preloaded sounds, which wins? The Extreme has over 2,000 sounds.... versus the M50s 900'ish? The Extreme would have many duplicates due to having a Karma and TR sitting next to me.

We need a voice list posted so we can compare to the M3. I'm going to put off adding 1 of them until we see reviews of the M50 so I can compare and purchase with peace of mind.

I know that T.Extreme is discontinued, (even thou it has a few bugs).
but,
is there a chance that KORG will release VSTi editor for Triton Extreme? Pray

Regarding only that even the M3 is a TOY compared to EXTREME,
it will be like a baby next to EXTREME, forget M50, nonexistent.

I notice sarcasm in your post, klarnet basowy.

Believe it or not, but M3 (to some) is like toy compared to Extreme.

Discussions about reasons for such opinions took place many times in KF so there is no reason to duplicate our thoughts, but that's the way it is.

I for one think the same as Nedim. OK, Xpanded improved the things, but in my perspective, Extreme still beats the hell out of M3.

So, the same goes for M50.
I mean, no sampling? No aftertouch? Come on...

M3: The way how you can think that a workstation with better sound engine, interface, and sequencer is worse (A TOY! please..!) is out of any logical way of thinking. It's not matter of opinions, these are facts.

M50: The way you pretend to compare a budget workstation to a past top-workstation is equally out of logic.
- the budget spin-off of Triton was Le and TR: aftertouch+sampling but very reduced sound engine.
- budget spin-off of M3: they have changed the way to put the restricted budget: no aftertouch, no sampling but the same exactly engine of the flagship keyboard which means equal sound, this is the M50.

Korg is doing a great job, I really don't understand how you can find better worse.. People, you can all go to work to Korg if you are able to do better than this.

Dont be too brainwahed...i create synth engines...thats what i do for living...
if you really think there is big difference in Synth engines i dont know what
to tell you...EDS vs HI...Difference? Maybe they can tell you that but not me.
If you really know what is it get both machines and try to compare Synth
engines, not how they sound but engines...if you know what that is.
Do you know anything about ROM or ROM sounds? When you know then you
will get what i mean...not till then. Go read my post once again please.
Forget about Sequencers and other stuff, read what i said and dont mention
Radias vs MOSS please, i will start laughing.

Very TOYISH, still in its baby steps even on M3...will never use the feauture.
Why? I use MONSTER sequencers like Cubase or Pro Tools.
Get it now why to me is NOT WORTH IT? All i care is the Sound Engine and
M3s is still nowhere EXTREME, not all TRITONs, this aint my opinion,
its a Fact, you might like it or not, or you might be in love with M3 but
sorry if you got dissapointed. And yes, i have M3 with Radias and Extreme
with MOSS and MOTIF ES with VL and Fantom X with expansions.

Hey Basari:

I don't usually get involved in these dialogs, but I have to say you're coming on a bit strong here, my friend.

Compare the oscillator design and capabilities, compare the Filter design and topology, compare the Drive and Lo Boost circuitry, compare the new envelopes with curves per step and you still say the engine of EDS doesn't "hold a candle"to HI? It's a fact?

I can't agree with that statement - you're absolutely entitled to your opinion and I wouldn't even spend time arguing matters of taste and preference, but come on now...

Your rhetoric is coming across a bit too strong, methinks.

Jerry, i understand you completely, maybe i was a bit too sarcastic or strong
and didnt put many details in my words, yes there is difference, there is few
extra functions in the design that dont make any Sonic difference to me, the
only Big difference that i would give it a 10 is the Filter design which yes,
makes Sonic differences. Maybe i oversaid some words but Strictly ROMSIZE
and as i said in my first post OPEN THE SYNTH AND PLAY IT come on, you
know exactly what i mean.

IMO ... the EDS engine is way better than HI.

The filters are much improved in both sound terms and programming flexibility. On HI you had a 24dB resonant LPF or a non-resonant 12dB LPF/HPF pair. Both sounded pretty grim to me, and that was a complaint amongst Triton users for years. The EDS engine offers a PAIR of proper resonant multi-mode filters which sound way better.

EDS oscillator support four layers, to allow 4 way velocity switching or layering of two samples. On HI you had 2 way velocity switching. The EDS oscillators sound way cleaner and there is far less aliasing.

The EDS LFOs have more shape options plus to ability to manipulate their shape further when programming. There is an additional Common LFO too. Handy ! Similarly you have the AMS Mixers that weren't in HI, the extra keytracking generators and generally improve AMS options.

The AMP/Driver circuit in the EDS engine both sounds better and is more convenient to program with that working with the Valve/Tube on the TEX. That was only powered with a low voltage so not really anything dramatic to the sound.

etc. etc.

EDS has gained some serious features and sounds a lot better than HI, which really relied on the samples to sound good far more than the engine itself.

It seems to odd to pick on the bit that MOST improved, rather than picking on the sequencer or only 5 IFX or other things that didn't so much.

I don't know much about synth engines:
what i know is that Trinity is the best sounding korg.

EDS is probably better than HI,
but EDS needs samples from Trinity and Triton, especially the guitars.
