What exactly did you expected from a simple interface keyboard screen resolution ?
Maybe a 2160x3840 screen resolution capable of side by side 1080p HD 3D video featured with active
3D glasses for better game experience ?

Both images are lower resolution BPM files included in Linux OS pack adapted to fair screen resolution that
can justify the easy operation of this simple interface and the lower cost of this keyboard !
If someone likes above then he can be happy using his gaming playstation since this is the last thing
in the world that a Musician or a developer would ever request compared to 256 polyphony , articulation
features and 4 Gb custom PCM Ram space !

To be honest, I'm not impressed what so ever, this is your new flagship arranger and it's basically a minor upgrade to the pa3x.

EDS sound engine, about 8-10 years old?

Ah OK - So I guess it's not for you then.

I am going to wait and play it first - it's on my list but I'm not jumping in quickly.

Im waiting until I play on it myself. For now I still hear another pa1 pa2 pa3x when Im listening to pa4x. I have been upgrading ever since the pa80 to pa1xpro, pa800, pa2x and pa3x.

The internal sounds does not make me jump from my chair running to the store and order.

I hope alot os users wont buy/upgrade to this new keyboard in protest in showing KORG that we are now in year 2015 and not 8 years back in time. In the end it will sound the same. Most people does anyway load their old set to the new keyboard.

If a lot of users told you that current resolution is almost unusable, you (korg team) tell us it's ok?
In my country there's a saying: If two or three people tell you that you're drunk, then go to sleep!"
If we (who just bought this arranger spending 3900€ on it) are telling you that screen resolution is not user-friendly you tell that is for less cpu usage or something.
My wireless router has better cpu and i spent 40€ on it.
I understand that it is a lot of work to redesign all interface pages using more pixels, but this is the price to advance to better products.
I hope that Korg won't let us down and solve all reported problems in future updates.

I am not arguing about this screen resolution complaints because I haven't played one yet BUT
I see many youtube video clips and despite the poor resolution of the actual video clips the PA4X looks very usable to me.
It may not be super HD but is it really "almost unusable?"

If it really is "almost unusable" then it must be so so so much worse that the PA3X screen (which I find "extremely usable")

To anyone who is lucky enough to own both PA3X and PA4X, please give us a real companion review regarding the screen clarity and maybe some close-up photos.

Thanks

Pete Very Happy

In the original examples of the screen posted at the top of this thread I found the lettering to be readable, so I'm not sure what fuss is about. Of course, blowing up to the huge percentage in the last example obviously makes it appear bad.

Note: Viewed through bi-focals on 72-year-old eyes.

Hi Filipe

Thank you for that

Could you please post a similar picture of the PA3X screen

So - is the PA900/PA3XLe screen the same "style" of screen (hardware-wise) as the PA4X?

Thanks

Well, i,m not impressed of this KB , just don,t tell me that this is a MAJOR step upp from Pa3X.

Did not find any big difference here.
If you are owner of pa 2 X , Than it,s much better to jump on the pa 3 X.

From 3 , to 4 NO!
This is my opinion.
I really hope the Display can be better for users.
And realy, NEXT time they must improve the ram, new styles , new Wave use instead of KMP KSF, more FX, Better all, for 4000 Euros there must be better things.

In korg pa4x letters on the screen are blurred.
A low-resolution image is displayed on the screen with high resolution
I hope that Korg will fix it.

Thanks Filipe
Appreciated but I was rather hoping to see the images having the same resolution to be able to compare.
I think I can see the concerns though.

Earlier, I wrote:

Do PA3Xle/PA600/PA900 owners share the same screen resolution concerns?

Cheers
