Would PA900 be a good upgrade from PA500

Post by tkpopeye »

Obviously, the higher the model and the more expensive, the better the product.

I play in a 3 pc band where I use the rhytms on the PA500 along with keys, and have a guitarist and bassist.

When running the PA500 through the main mixer, or even my Beringer Keyboard AMP, we have the volume practically maxed out on the mixer as well as on my AMP and keyboard. I've been scratching my head for months trying to figure it out. After finally reading the KORG forum, I have learned that this is a common problem in the PA500.

Therefore, I am looking to upgrade. I was considering the PA900. Any input for this, compared to the PA500? I would LOVE to get the PA3X, but can't afford to spend that much, even for a used one.

Any cons for the PA900? I do like the PA500, but this volume issue is a serious problem that needs fixing/replacing.
