|
|
Hi everyone,
When I record my Korg-Trition Pro through the back main (left/mono and right) outputs, one side always records at a lower volume and different waveform then the other side. I think it is the left/mono side that does this.
is this normal or is there a problem with my Korg-Trition-Pro?
Thanks |

You could have a problem with the analog board. I'm not a tech, but I've had two Tritons and I've never noticed one output being hotter than the other. _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |

While listening through the front headphone output, it sounds just fine. |

As Falcon2e said, it could be an analog board problem. It might just be worth checking if it's contact oxidation, by unplugging, replugging and wiggling the jack plugs in their sockets. Costs nothing.
I've had that happen with a Kronos and a couple of other synths, kept in a dry, benign, smoke-free environment. It wasn't a big issue as it didn't take more than a minute to figure it out, but it noticeably quietened and altered the timbre of the instrument. The lates Kronos 2 now has gold plated connectors.

If you are really brave and want to possibly repair any parts in your Korg, here is a link that may be helpful. http://www.bustedgear.com/repair_Korg_triton-pro_disassembly.html I replaced both output jacks on mine, but it was SCARY! _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |

Thanks for the link, interesting, but I wouldn't know anything about fixing a synth.
another thing i noticed about my korg-trition-Pro is that I can't sample anything without there being a lot of static in it. even if I put a compressor or limiter FX on it. |

Yeah, that static thing doesn't sound normal. Sorry _________________ Kronos2-61..(2) Triton Classic, Nord Stage 2, Previously owned lots of other gear dating back to the 70’s. |
