Yes apparently that is what he said. However I have a strong belief that he was wrong and confused himself with the Kronos. As far as I understand the PA 4X does not have data streaming.

The pa4x HAS data streaming ONLY for the factory and localized libraries..User ram is NOT using streaming! (at least not yet)
The engine is called KSE (Korg Streaming Engine) as far as i know!

data streaming or not - the old rom sounds from the 3x sounds bad on the pa4x because they encoded in low quality than in the 3x,

most of the old rom samples that was on the 3x sounds terrible low quality on the 3x, like they re sampled from the 3x, the same quality is the same on the 600 and 900

and again i'm talking about the sounds that was in the 3x, all the new sounds sounds in good quality

This is strange because the 3x had compressed factory library and all the later models (300/600/900/3xle) have uncompressed pcm data as sound source. The 4x is streaming all its sounds which are compressed in a known format and been decompressed to raw pcm data on first power up.I don't think i should tell which format as there is no official announcement about that and will never be as it is not needed for the end user...

Loaded samples with Pa4x always preserve their original resolution, but Pa4x is not conditioned to recover compressed samples. Using compressed samples in Pa4x means to use reduced signals, so do not wonder about terrible low quality using compressed material.

To transmit samples within Korg devices use selecting Export commands, while you are in any page of a Multisample section, to be able to export from internal memory and all linked samples.

I am talking about FACTORY rom library not the sounds the user loads in the 400mb ram space of the 4x!

Interesting! That's exactly how the original Kronos was, if I remember correctly. Ability to stream user samples was introduced through updates later on.
