Factory styles are protected and you can not edit them, unless you remove protection off. |

Yes, I'd agree with pawlikp100, that it sounds like you're trying to edit a locked factory preset style. I'd suggest, however, that the best solution for you is to either:
a) Create a new songbook entry, which uses the style and make all of your tweaks and changes there (that way all of your settings, as long as you save them properly, will be retained) OR
b) to simply save (i.e. copy) the style into a user/favorite location, make all of your changes/tweaks and then save again once you're happy with everything.
The one thing that I would definitely NOT recommend is to remove the lock settings from the factory styles in Global and make changes to the original factory presets (as these original styles are really useful to keep unchanged as good reference styles, which demonstrate many of the features, effects and programming options that are available within styles).
I hope this helps and makes sense.
Best wishes,

The right way to change a DK is only in SOUND/Record style editor where every intro/var/fill/ending
can be assigned with different sounds unlike Style play mode where only a DK/Perc/Acc can be assigned
and this will ruin a third part style architecture like factory ones !
Also if you change a track sound in Style play mode then automatically the "style original sounds" box
will be unchecked when saving style preferences saving only the currently altered track sounds and all
original style sound changes will be lost !
Editing a style in Style Play environment is useful only for a custom style of yours where all sound tracks
are always remain the same in all variations of style. _________________ Music Conductor - Sound Engineer & Developer - Automotive SMPS/RF R&D - Electronics Engineer
