For PCG Tools, I'm thinking about not supporting OS1.x versions anymore, since especially OS1.5 / OS1.6 is very hard to support.
So I am wondering if there are any Kronos users who are using old versions. And to be complete and for being helpfull to others I will make the list complete.
So (even if you don't use PCG Tools), what version of Kronos OS you are using (or intend to move to shortly)? _________________

Glad to hear ... I think there are some nice additions (especially regarding set lists). _________________

Michel, does PCGTools do everything via SYSEX? I notice it's slow sometimes but it's not the application so much as the pulling of data which logically should be faster via USB but I figured it was entirely via MIDI. _________________ Korg Kronos 88 2, Korg Kronos 73, Kurzweil K2600S

I think you are confused with another application. PCG Tools does not use MIDI (thus also not SYSEX), but direct PCG files. One of the reasons not to use either USB or MIDI is to be super fast ... loading and saving a PCG file is a matter of seconds. _________________

Sorry, you're totally right - I feel silly now.
I've used your application alongside the Korg remote-control app, I was definitely confused. My bad _________________ Korg Kronos 88 2, Korg Kronos 73, Kurzweil K2600S

No problem at all ... and it's true the Korg editor (remote-control app) can be slow because of that reason. As you said, USB might help. However, my application also supports a lot of other workstations which do not have USB connection (for MIDI).
Although, it would be best if PCG Tools would be able to use both, but I don't have unlimited time for developing everything possible. _________________

Unless you're still in middle school, most people don't have time to dedicate like that. I wouldn't worry too much about it I think your app is great honestly.
Maybe someday (unless there is already) you could support samples as well? I would love the ability to build .KMP files using raw wave files that I have on my PC so when I load them into the Kronos they're already keymapped and ready to be assigned. _________________ Korg Kronos 88 2, Korg Kronos 73, Kurzweil K2600S

Thanks for the compliment.
I thought about samples, but it has some drawbacks that keeps me from implementing: the need for transporting the samples from the Kronos (or any other synth) to the PC, which are big files, the undocumented structure, that all workstations have their own implementation, even between OSs and I don't want to extend the scope too much (that is why I also stopped developing functionality for SNG files). _________________
