Hi all,

Even thought this is an awesome machine , I'm surprised it needs a RAM upgrade.

Could anyone point me to the right RAM upgrade hardware that I need to buy and then install?

Thanks.

Tash.

The pa3x has 128mb ram by default that goes to 256mb when compressed!
If you need it , you can upgrade to 256mb and so 512mb when compressed with the exb-m256 upgrade ram module!

There are original rams and cloned ones. Both work exactly the same way but the pcb's of the originals are better in quality..They work and sound exactly the same of course as they are the same hardware ram chips. So you choose!
The link i gave is of the original one of course!

Thanks a lot. I'm surprised at the price of this upgrade !!!! And also surprised that Korg have only 128mb RAM on this amazing machine. Can't understand why my 2TB EXT HD costs just a fraction more !!!!

How can I compress?

Ram is way faster than a hard drive and stores memory only while it has power! Also it doesn't have so little read/right operations till it gets faulty as the hard drives do...
Thats why they cost much more money than an HD..!

To compress you have to :
1)Press SOUND
2)Press RECORD
3)From the down arrow on the upper right cornet select Compress (the last one)
This will take a lot of time to be done but you will have a lot of memory free after that!
