I assign programmable button #3 to Text Next. The Lock is on. It works fine until I power off, but when I power back on, the setting has changed and I have to redo it. I must be missing something. It always stayed unchanged on 3x.
I did save it to My Setting as well.
Thanks,

Hi DonM,
I am not sure but try to help:
Lock the "Assignable Switches" in Global mode and the Write/Save in My Setting.
Reboot the keyboard and see if it works.

Thank you, but I've done this several times. It just doesn't seem to save it. I have a friend here with a 4x. I'll have him try his too.
BTW, I had no problem doing this before update to 1.2.
Thanks again.

It works for me that way, just try it if it works for you:
1- Unlock the Assignable Switches in Global > Exit.
2- Setup the Assignable Switch to your linking.
3- Go back to Global > Lock again Assignable Switches, Exit.
4- Write in My Setting.
5- Reboot the keyboard and see if it works.
Hope this helps.

I actually thought about that, but didn't try unlocking it first. Will give it a try.

Hey Don, I have the same problem with the switches losing programming. Did you ever figure that one out?

When I got to work last night and took the 4x out, it had reverted to the original settings. I took off the Lock, resaved the settings the way I wanted, and everything was fine. Then I put the Lock back on. The Lock for the buttons appears in two places--in the Global Lock Menu and on the page where you select the settings. Turning it off or on one place seems to do it on the other place as well.
However, at the end of the night, I forgot to turn it back on to see if the settings were saved that way!
BTW, the same thing is happening with my settings for Programmable Sliders. I'm hoping I have it figured out, but won't know until tonight when I get back to the club. I leave my gear there Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, but bring the keyboard home after Saturday night.

I just tested that open lock, put in settings, lock, shut off, turn on idea. It still dumps the settings. What are we gonna do? I think all of my other programs are remembered.

If that doesn't work we'll have to add it to the bugs list and ask Korg to address it!

Another thought...maybe if we created a Songbook entry with everything saved, and the locks on, it would be called up? Of course My Setting should do this, but it doesn't.

...and I forgot to mention...
I reprogrammed both rows of assignable sliders, A & B.
When i switched on last night B was remembered the way i set it, but A was not! Go figure. Smile

Programming the ASSIGNABLE SWITCHES in a different ways is stored if you write the changes to a Keyboard Set. So each Keyboard Set has its own setting of assignables switches.

Locking that settings to prevent changes is done with locking parameter collected in the Global / Generel Control / Lock pages and seems to be stored in setup.gbl of the media structure.

So I would try to save locking parameters in setup.gbl as MySetting simple is a Keyboard-Set containing its own setting of assignable switches but not its general controls/lock.

Thank you. I've done that. Will try again when I get to the job in about an hour.

Well, the bad news is that the button setting was lost. The good news is that both sets of sliders were remembered as I set them.
I reset the buttons again, unlocked the locks, saved to My Setting, Locked the Locks, resaved to My Setting.
But then I forgot to check it after i powered down tonight. I will of course find out at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow. Old and senile I guess.

Looks to me that it's gotta be a small bug. Just an ant, not a roach.
