|
|
Hi
Has anyone heard any news as to when Korg are going to produce the new song book editor that is needed for the PA4x to. There are many features of the songbook i.e. adding batch entries without clearing the existing songbook, that cannot be achieved without the new software.
It is now many months since the PA4x was launched but still no software support!!

Hi Tony
Paolo (Korg Italy) has placed a message on these forums a little while ago confirming that they are working on it but he was not in a position to provide an ETA.
Yep, I'm looking forward to it too!!!

I've been working with the Release Candidate for days. The release date is very near.

Thank you Paolo,
As an aside to this is there anyway to delete a Entry from the Songbook from the Pa4x itself ? seems like there should be but I cannot locate that function, you can delete a Set Entry but Songbook seems not have a facility for this ? _________________ Yamaha S90ES, Korg Triton Pro, EXB Moss, Roland XV5080, Korg EX8000, Korg Pa4x 76, Korg Kronos 88, Crumar MOJO, Logic Pro X, V Collection, Novation SL61,Vienna, Korg Pa4x , EC-5, Vienna, Arturia V Collection, Roland SC88 Pro, Roland D110, Alesis SR16, Alesis D4 |

If you are trying to delete a single entry from the song book just open the song and press any of the 'book edit tabs' 1, 2, or 3 and you will see 'Del song' |

At least we know they are developing it. I imagine they might be focusing on the other few OS issues too.

Because english is not my native language, i'm a little bit confused now, what you're trying to tell me. I could not believe that you mean, it is right, that they are not willing within more than a half year to adjust the Songbook Editor. That's a shame, that's unbelievable...i'm lost for other words.
If i had misunderstood you, i beg your pardon. |

Add me to the list of people who are super-frustrated/annoyed by the lack of availability of a songbook editor. I've switched from the PA3X, and given the different format of user banks, have had to spend a lot of time shuffling individual styles around, and keeping track, when a simple drag and drop visual would let me do it all in minutes.
I'm also bothered by the fact that apparently there won't be a Mac version, according to comments I've seen online.
I currently have boards by Kurzweil and Casio and they all have Mac versions of their editors. There are enough Mac users out there that this is not an unreasonable expectation. |
