Hello.
Just wanted to ask, if anyone has tried to modify theyr keyboard physically.
I got a pa600, and it's great, but the keys are no good. Thinking of buying an 88 key midi control keyboard, and connect it.
However, I dont want to carry around 2 keyboards, so was thinking to remove keys and speakers from the pa600, build a case, and connect it to the 88 keys.....
I know it sounds crazy, but has anyone tried? Or thought about doing it??
Any input would be great... |

Hello!
It can be done but its not too easy..
you can get it going without the keyboard and speakers but you will need a custom way to mount the front panel and the motherboard close enough for the cables between them to be connected without stressing them.
also you will have to connect the new keys to the midi in and if you are not going to make hardware mods to take power from the circuit, you will need to connect your midi keyboard to the usb on the back for power so you will have no available usb port.
it is extremely important to note the you are going to void your warranty if you have and maybe repair centers will not accept to repair it if anything goes wrong... |
