I had Gadget for about 6 months and was making some decent tracks
see: https://youtu.be/U318pKhcL_o
I then watched people using elektron gear and bought an octatrack and an analogue four hoping to play my tracks on the fly live.
Both were great machines in their own way but I just kept missing gadget.
I tried everything to use them all together but the midi sync latency in gadget makes it un-workable.
I then imported stems from my gadget tracks into the octatrack and tried to tweak it on the fly but the octatrack's effects weren't as good as in gadget. They are good solid effects but the effects in gadget are tailored to each instrument and give you more sonic sweet spots.
I then bought circuit to try that out. It is brilliant at writing pieces with 6 tracks but the sonic scope is so much greater with gadget.
So I have now sold all three boxes and have gone back to gadget and writing music again. This week I've written 4 tracks and the process was enjoyable. And now the update!
Here is one of them: https://youtu.be/CzPg-5naXNk
Honestly for me gadget is the pick of the bunch
