Hi,

I have a Korg OASYS which is missing the metal cover (extension) part of the vector joystick.

The underlying controller and vertical plastic post are fine, but that post is too short for ergonomic action.

It is my understanding that the part I need simply cannot be had anymore, anywhere (please correct me if that is not true).

I'm thinking though that I'm not the only one to ever face this situation.

Who can suggest or testify about a creative solution to extend that joystick to a workable length?

Thanks!

An engineering company/workshop would be able to make one. It could even be finished to your own specifications, in terms of finish and colour. All at a cost, of course.

The engineering firm would need to see the keyboard, or at least the joystick assembly, in order to make measurements, some images of the desired end result would help.

As far as length of the extension is concerned, the vector joystick on the Korg Kronos protrudes 16.5mm above the circular joystick surround, and this feels about right.

Gee, that's pretty sad if parts for an 11 year-old flagship synth costing only slightly less than a small car can no longer be obtained!

I picked up replacement tact switches, faders and knobs for my 22 year-old JV-80 recently, directly from Roland Australia at a very modest cost!

Should I start stockpiling parts for my Korgs?
