Hello, I have recently acquired a Kronos 2 61, The previous owner of the keyboard messed up with the sounds too much, and factory settings wouldn't be enough. It has been a successfull format process, but now EXs 17 and 18 are demo sounds on the Global Settings > Options Info. When playing, the sounds fade out like an auto-pan and come back again. So, what can I do to authorize these libraries? Updating to 3.0.4 can be a solution?

1) I think-Exs 17/18 were 'free' or included on all newly purchased K2's

Maybe u can appeal to Korg for a free d/l
If not, you would likely have to repurchase them.

2) No. it will not make those Libs ' reappear ' as authorized. But its still a good idea to upgrade to 3.0.4.

If you formatted the drive…it would have needed authorisation form Korg.
(This is an automated procedure).
It may be a possibility that the library authorisation could also be found in the same account.

However,as GregC suggested, contacting Korg may help resolve the problem.

Best Wishes.

u likely need auth keys for those libraries,
the original owner should have given them to you, ask him and he might be able to locate them in his korg account (if he has one).
If he does not have a korg acocunt or has never registered the kronos with Korg, you might be able to register the kronos yourself and get the keys.

Thank you so much dear amit, if there is anyone who formatted kronos 2 out there, the solution is right here. I registered to Korg, and the account provides the keys to these sound libraries. Also if you need a general authorization, there is a file with the extension .reauth, you can use that. Also I want to thank to pedro5 and GregC for their solutions, it worked like a charm!
