Dear members,
Ever since my Pa800 died down, I have now been having serious doubts & confusions about going back to Korg for its arrangers. Some time back I was having this discussion with a friend & he brought up something very genuine to this Korg Arrangers quality & reliability. He said that the parts now being used for arrangers have a life no more than 4-5 years max. After that, one thing or the other dies out & the instrument is rendered useless. Having said this, these are expensive instruments & must deliver for lengthy tenors. I owned a Korg Triton from year 2000 till 2008, until I got my Pa800 & the instrument never needed any repair job. At the time when I sold it, everything on the keyboard worked flawlessly.
Now, I'm not really sure about the reliability of Yamaha products but I'm seriously considering switching to this brand, since Korg is no longer a reliable & lasting brand.
Regards ,
Umair

You can tell your friend he is way wrong.
I personally know people who using daily many years (way over 5) and nothing happen, they still works.
Sorry to hear your Pa800 died.
It your choice, but to get same feature and quality as Korg has, you need to pay for Yamaha almost twice more,... think twice before. Wink

A close friend of mine is still banging out the tunes on his i30 and his PA800.
In my personal opinion all the Korg models are well made and from personal experience, superior to my Yamaha Tyros (button connection and other problems)

For me, the most reliable model was my PA3X-76

So far my PA4X is fine.

Cheers

Pete Very Happy

Apart from the LED button lights issue on the pa2x and the battery recall on the pa3x, i am not aware of any general issues on the PA series of Korg.
I know many people who gig and put their Korgs through hell and back every weekends and still have no issues.
