Question
"When creating a new layer from initialize"
when I do layer 2 timbres how can I assign volume to the 2nd timbre only ie. Strings
same if I wanted to assign SW octave up or down on one timbre ???

the Piano and string preset in Combo mode was easy(thanks to you guys) just assign user knob 2 to CC#7 volume... tried that with new layer, volume shut both off???

anyone thanx

Go to Combi P5 MIDI Filter, Tab "4", and uncheck the "Enable Realtime Control - USER[2]" boxes for any timbres not to be affected by knob 2.

If an expression type foot pedal is to be used to control the volume of e.g. strings, the relevant boxes to uncheck are in Tab "5". The foot pedal will also need to be set to generate CC#11 messages.

For enabling/disabling the switch for any particular timbre(s), go to Tab "5". Also ensure that SW1 is set for octave up or down in the Controllers tab.
