Just heard about this today!
It's the most exciting thing this year so far.
It sounds brilliant! I need one!

Sure it can. .. lol..
It's easier for me to just accept that than try convince my wife I need to buy a new Synth. Laughing

The only Analog that is worthy of that much grief is the Andromeda A6. Beyond the A6, I'll stick with my VA. Twisted Evil

Well this a bit of a quandary then, been jonesing for the DSI OB6 but this does sound nice as well! Good thing Indont have the cash otherwise it would be a hard decision and I might actually consider this instead.

I would toss the Matrix 12 in the same group. But that one's harder to find, costs more, and doesn't fit on my stand.

Which again makes me cry about the direction Alesis has taken after the Akai take over...

Disagreed there. There are plenty of analog synths that are worth grieving over and that crap over any VA as far as warmth and girth of sound is concerned.

The Virus offers plenty in that regard and many possibilities far beyond an Analog.

The reason why I'd place an A6 high above pretty much any other analog on the market is because it was actually an innovative product, and not a recycled rehash of something old brought back from the dead. Most Analog manufactures have their heads truly burred in the past. Not all of them, but pretty much most of them.

Most Analogs have not evolved since I was a kid.

Not necessarily, lately i am becoming an Analog Purist and i also own the TI 2.
I own few Analog pieces now plus a Modular...there is still places where the TI 2
can eat my other synths. I don't think i can tell a difference most of the time.

Found this a little interesting. Virus VS DeepMind doing raw waveforms.

Sharp.

Very interesting but I am also curious how they sound after the raw waveforms, throughout the the rest of the signal path. But currently they both sound great.
I can say I really don't want either though. I do like the sound of the relic can the virus do that as well?
