im using caustic and i cannot, for the life of me, upload a sample that is worth a damn! sound quality sucks! there is no use having this thing if that function does not work for me! please, somebody help me! before it gets the hammer! |

Use other software than Caustic. See third party software:
http://www.korg.com/us/products/dj/volca_sample/thirdpartyapps.php
You might have better luck with Vosyr.
P.S. Are you recording samples w/ the mic of your phone to upload tham to the Volca Sample? If so: that might explain the bad sound quality you complained about earlier. |

Not the internal mic of your phone or the best one you can find. If your phone has a good audio chip (or: audio card) that is. I'd download samples from the internet if I were you (drums, hi-hats, etc.). Or record them w/ proper equipment.

Do you have a pc?
You could buy an audio recorder like the zoom h1 or Sony pcm 10m.(the latter may be above spec for your needs). Then use a pc to shift files to your app.
Or check out sound cards for you mobile or pc ,plus a decent Mic.
Or just buy a proper sampler ,not a sample player ( the volca). |
