Over on the tyros while playing styles in full fingered mode, i had 2 very nice power chords that changed my accompaniment drastically...
Hitting 3 notes next to eachother ( example: C, C#, D) stops all accompaniment except the drums... hitting a 4th note on top of those 3 notes stops everything except drum and bass.. it is a very nice direct feature, i used quite often.
Is there also something comparable in korg pa4x? _________________ Korg Kronos 2/88 , Genos, Mainstage3 +VSTsu, ipad pro, GSi Gemini, Roland Integra 7, Jupiter Xm, Yamaha motif XS rack, Ketron SD90.

In Chord Recognition: Expert hitting 3 notes next to each other stop accompaniment, only Drums and Perc still play. _________________ Nemik

More tricks
Advantage of using Chord Scanning: Expert
Only works on Split Mode On.
Easy swapping Bass Inversion while you playing by just lift a finger.
Examples:
holding keys E + G + C you get chord C, if you release note (G) is switching to C/E; if you release note (E) is switching to C/G
holding keys C + E + G you get chord C, if you release note (E) is switching to C(1+5), not sure what this is, but is different that C
With minors is almost the same, except I can't figure out how play all, is missing second inversion
holding keys C + E + A you get chord Am, if you release note (E) is switching to Am/C, if you release note (C) is switching to A/E instead to Am/E
Others combinations?... you need to try it, is many _________________ Nemik

Hi there,
after long time experimenting with chord positions I found some tricks to play slash chords using Advanced mode (that's my favorite).
Using a single hand you can play them just doubling as octave one note. Examples:
G-C-Eb-G (G is doubled as octave) = Cmin/G (this was asked by someone)
G-A-C-E-G (G is doubled) = Am7/G (think a progression like Am7, Am7/G, Fmaj7)
The nice thing is that you can get this also in full keyboard mode (min. 3 notes), where some of the examples shown in previous msgs using only two notes were not usable.
Example using two hands (like a pianist - full keyboard) but keep some distance like an octave between the left and right hands:
left C - right Ab-C-Eb-G = Abmaj7/C
left C - right G-Bb-D-F = Gmin7/C
left C - right G-B-D = G/C (like a maj9 but without 3rd - nice!)
These are just few examples but it opened to me to a world of chords that I never thought being possible to play in a arranger.
This way I found how to address quite any chord written in sheet music.
Hope this helpful for you guys.
