To those who want to create combis with the side chain effect, check this out.

Includes Template Combi that loads to U-E 000 and Program U-EE 000 FS Sidechain Trigger. Refrain from loading entire PCG file at once, open the file, then open the folders in disk mode then load combi and program individually to your desired slot to avoid overwriting any important sound data. If loading program U-EE000 to a different slot, be sure to edit the combi and change the program number of Timbre 16. Download links in video description.

What kind of footswitch do you use? Brand?

I have a volume pedal but it does not work as intended.

Thanks,

I did not know that you could do this not only with a combi, but various selected timbres WITHIN that combo (Am I getting this right?)! This is cool!
Thanks for sharing this tip!!

Just a regular Yamaha square shaped sustain pedal. No a volume pedal will not work. It has to be plugged in the switch input behind your Kronos and in Global Mode, you have to select Foot Switch CC#82 as Foot Switch Assign and assign the opposite polarity of your switch pedal. (Sorry I didn't realise that my pedal was positive when I programmed this)
