Putting together a patch bay anyone have a suggestion on good parts for this, preferred jacks? Thanks!
Updated to add; never mind looks like I can buy it cheaper then I can make it. I am looking at the Neutrik NYS-SPP-L about 80$ is this a good quality unit? I see others running hundreds of dollars and I won't spend that much. |

switch craft has been a standard for years on the parts.
just make sure you use matching jacks to the plugs you have...
big difference on the plating....
as long as you have a no high humidity area you can use the cheap jacks...
below 50%.
there are several places where you can buy pretty good patch bay's all ready done..
and rack places that have pre punched out plates for front and rear rack..
do you have special needs that are making you switch to custom made patch bay???
buy the best you can afford!!
and silicone spray the plugs.. _________________ my site klimaco.net

No I just wanted something simple to get some inputs on the back of a few items out front front to make it easier switching things up. I think instead i will put some of these items on slides so I can just pull them out and move around what I want when needed.
Thanks Iowagold! |
