Hi i was looking for something to noodle out some patterns and found gadget and decided to go for it. Pretty cool app for jotting down patterns and i hope to explore its export midi functionality to maybe bring things into my PC based hardward environment. Or sample some of the cool gadget sounds and use them as sampled bits. Would be great to actually link it to an external sequencer like sonar but i am afraid i wont dare try to figure out how to do anything that tricky.

my question is..

I have a two measure arrangement and say i want to add a crash cymbal every four measures. i would have to expand my project to 4 measures and then add the crash hit. But then the newly opened up 2 measures will be empty.

i have seen how to copy from scene block into another scene block, but im wondering if you can copy part of a scene into another part of the same scene.

i havent really found whether you can place the cursor at a particular point in the loop either. So im not sure how i would tell it where i want to paste. That will be my follow up question.

Sorry if this is a bonehead question!
Good job korg thumbs up.

you can copy whole bars quite easily:

open the midi editor
press function (bottom left corner)
adjust the scene length (top right corner)
press copy (top left corner)
select which bar to use use as source
select which bar to copy to

thanks for the reply!

yes, i was able to figure that out.

but, in a situation where i widen a scene from 4 bars to 8, creating 4 new empty bars in the same box, i guess you are forced to fill that new empty area in manually. instead of copy the first half and paste into the second half.

seems you can only copy one bar each time this way
but when you (manually) select all notes in bars 1 to 4 you get a copy button
so just press this button and you can drag all the copied and highligthed notes to bars 5 to 8.
