|

When I saw that korg launched an major update and the file had 2,5GB I was very happy. After two years of waiting I hoped that korg will improve their UI.
As I said before, korg uses the old 320x240 resolution on a new display on pa4x ( 800x480 or something...)
After it booted in os 2.0, I saw a modified UI, but still the same crappy resolution.
Is there any hope? Or korg abandoned this issue...? |

I didn't think this was on the cards - I know a few people wanted a "clearer" definition.
For what it's worth I notice a difference in V2 - certain fonts are still the same but much of it seems clearer to me.
Personally it was never a problem for me.
Maybe they'll change it but I'm happy that they spent their energy on what they have just produced.
Cheers

It's not just me that noticed a slight sharpening of the graphics + I also agree with pete here...how this keyboard function, feels and plays is far more important than dazzling interface graphics at this stage, of course the world in general has moved on in this regard with what we are use to in are daliy life all around us, but as long as this keyboard punches hard as I does in many ways then worrying about aesthetic is probably missing what we do have in almost every other way _________________ Korg PA5X-76 : Yamaha Montage M8x : Roland Jupiter 80 : Waldorf STVC : Roland Integra 7 : Waldorf Streichfett : Focal Trio6 ST6 : Studio Outboards/RME Audio Interface/A&H Mixer :

OK so Korg could have stuck a Kronos 8 inch color TFT, SVGA (800x600 dots) display on the Pa4x as opposed to the 7” Wide capacitive color TFT display at the outset. Personally although the Kronos screen looks nice with large fonts and colours once you jump into editing pages the former experience imho takes a dive. The Screen on the Pa4x shows clearly all the information you need in all of the various screens and any development of the instrument I would rather see put into making the OS rock solid along with more high quality samples, more flexabilty in the effects department and the drawbar organ getting some serious attention. _________________ Yamaha S90ES, Korg Triton Pro, EXB Moss, Roland XV5080, Korg EX8000, Korg Pa4x 76, Korg Kronos 88, Crumar MOJO, Logic Pro X, V Collection, Novation SL61,Vienna, Korg Pa4x , EC-5, Vienna, Arturia V Collection, Roland SC88 Pro, Roland D110, Alesis SR16, Alesis D4 |

It's been moved to GLOBAL mode - check the new OS2.0 manual for details
Cheers

Even the Drawbar Organ is better. I'm not sure how to use the KAOSS function, but it seems to be a new better instrument; not that the old one was bad. And I can see my uSD. It seems the styles have been upgraded a little and they added the functions I was wanting. It definitely seems better to me. It even seems like the sensitivity of the keybed is better. The backing function sound still doesn't turn off when it is muted. I still have to go to global and shut off the backing sound instead of just muting it when needed. But I can live with that. Great job. _________________ Pa4x, Oasys 76, K2000, PC3K7, Montage 8, Pa5x |

Great job. | I'm glad someone else has mentioned this i have also noticed a change in touch sensitivity (Global:Controller - velocity curve?) Or (Keyboard/Ensemble - Note Velocity?)....can this be confirmed? I wonder just how much tweaking has taken place under the hood ? Would be interesting to know more.....+ other observations with things changing...for instance style "Love Pop" : VARIATION 1, INTRO 3/COUNT IN, has changed missing a percussive fx at the end of the intro ? I wonder why? I liked it! ..... Also other styles would seem to be a little different?... How far and deep did this revision go ??? _________________ Korg PA5X-76 : Yamaha Montage M8x : Roland Jupiter 80 : Waldorf STVC : Roland Integra 7 : Waldorf Streichfett : Focal Trio6 ST6 : Studio Outboards/RME Audio Interface/A&H Mixer :

It is an offer. I suppose you are obliged to pay for it. _________________ Korg pa5x vs Genos 2 - spec comparison |
