|
|
Hi All,
Is there a way to completely erase all sequence data from the Volca Bass? I know that this is what Func + All(16) is supposed to do, but the data is not erased, merely hidden - it can be brought back using the step mode function, which I find highly undesirable. To reproduce this problem:
1. Switch on Volca Bass.
2. Press Func + Record to enter Step Rec mode.
3. Record 16 "A's", by pressing "13" 16 times.
4. Presss Func to exit Step Rec mode.
5. Press Play to verify that an "A" is being played on every step.
6. Press Func + All(16) to (supposedly) erase all sequence data.
7. Press Func + Write + 1 to write the (supposedly) blank sequence to memory.
8. Press Play to verify that no notes are being played.
9. Press Step Mode.
10. Press any step - it will now play the "A" that was recorded earlier, and supposedly erased.
Same results if you clear each part individually. Does everybody else encounter this problem? Any ideas? |

Hey there,
I just picked up a Bass and one of the first things I found was this problem. I thought I was going crazy as it makes no sense whatsoever that this happens.
I am guessing no one has found a way around this? |

I just bought a Bass today and I may be having the same issue. If I press CLEAR ALL, it clears the steps. If I program some new steps, they play to the note pattern of what I thought I just deleted. That seems a little wonky to me...
And can some kind person please explain to me the best way to use the sequencer? I think I understand it, but I'm a bit confused. In STEP MODE am I right to think there is no way to edit which notes are played?
It seems to me that the only way to enter notes is in STEP REC mode. |
