Hello,

I am new to the board.. this is my first post. I looked around for similar threads but no-one seems to have my exact problem.

I am trying to simultaneously control both tap tempo and start/stop on the sequencer from a Behringer FCB1010 foot controller with no luck. I can get tap tempo to work if I connect it to the TE's foot switch input, but this input is also where start/stop would need to be assigned, so it seems like you can't do both at the same time.

Is there a way to control start/stop via MIDI control change messages? Or, maybe sysex (not sure if the fcb1010 can send sysex in real time..)?

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks!

for anyone interested.. I solved this, although I used a different approach. For what I am doing, I just needed to trigger a short pattern, so I ended up using RPPR in a sequence, triggered by a note number sent from the FCB1010. I am still able to control the tap tempo at the same time using the footswitch input.
