|
|
I'm playing a number of songs in one band where I begin it with a solo keyboard intro. The tempo I start with is the tempo that the entire band comes in with. I had a thought that perhaps I could enter the bpm in the Programs and Combis I'm using and save them. However, with the patches I've done this with, the tempo value seems to just stay the same as I last changed it. Does anyone have any advice on how I can accomplish this? |

If you scroll through a few factory presets, you should see that not all have the same tempo setting.
So it is possible for each Program to save in its own unique tempo setting.
Maybe the issue is in your "write program" steps. Are you using a short cut?
Are you setting Tempo as you like and then scrolling to other programs before coming back to save your previously tempo set program?
I just read a short description of "Tempo" for EXi program.
" (Tempo)
This is the tempo for the current Program, which applies to KARMA, tempo-synced LFOs, Step Sequencers, tempo- synced effects, and so on."
When it says "This is tempo for current program" it seems to imply that the reading or setting can be unique for each program. Scroll through some programs to see the varied tempo settings.
I would check your "write program" steps and be sure you are not scrolling to a new program before writing program for a new tempo setting and then expecting tempo to be what you previously set when you scroll back. I still sometimes make this mistake myself while trying to get ahead of myself.
Sequencer mode Tempo is a bit more involved with "Tempo Mode" settings that determine how you can use Tempo. But i don't think that interferes with a simple tempo rate save either.
If you cannot simply set the tempo to the rate you want and immediatley use "Write Program" menu command to save it, then i have no idea what is going on and will have to sit back and learn from whatever comes about for you. |
