|
|
My triton taktile 49 won’t let me complete the “system version 2.0” update.
I downloaded the new version 2.0 and followed the advised update procedure for mac OS X users as described.
I can set the triton taktile in “update mode” as described in the pdf:
(((1. (Turn on the Power of the taktile while holding the [Page >], [EXIT] and [CHORD SCALE] buttons. This will put it in "Update Mode". (LED and OLED display won't light))))
I know that the taktile is in Update mode because the LED and OLED display do not light up - like they normally do.
The problem is that the “Korg system updater” cannot detect my tactile in this mode, and therefor won’t let me go on and hit the update button.
I only get the message:
“Plug in your taktile BOOT to update and turn it on in Update mode. See the User’s manual for update mode”.
I know that my USB cable is working, because if I just plug it in myto mac without the “page, exit, chord scale”-combination, the Taktile will light up as usual.
(Also if I hit the “exit” key while starting up, it says “System 1.02”).
I have testet this on 3 macbooks now, and I had the same problem every time.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance |

I have the same problem.
The instructions also say to install the latest midi driver which I have but still no success.
Cant get it to detect.
Additionally, my trigger pads send no midi and make no sound when SOUND mode is on in ChordScale or Note/Control Modes

Finally I figured that the problem only occurs when you do not have OS X Yosemity on your mac.
Just find someone who is “smart” enough to have this wonder OS installed and your tactile 49 will wake up from the dead and start to respond

Having the same issue as well, but I'm on OS X Yosemite. Cannot get the System Updater to detect the Taktile in BOOT mode for the update. I'm calling Korg in the AM. _________________ korg taktile 49 |

Found the answer, if you can't update. Do not open updates until after you have put tactile in update mode. Hope this helps. |

The Page>, Exit, and Chord Scale buttons need to be held down simultaneously before applying power, and then continuing to hold the keys down for several seconds, at least, after power up.
If this still doesn't work, then check that those keys are working OK in normal mode, and note how much pressure is required to make them work.
