Purchased my first SV-1. Out of box it passed an all-around visual check. All keys, knobs, buttons, switch, tube, in and outputs, physically function as they should.

Is there a test, check or operating scenario you would recommend that may not be covered in the manual?

Not sure what else you'd need to be testing if all the keys and controls work fine.

You could try this I guess: Play one of the EP patches. If the clouds above you instantaneously part causing you to be bathed in radiant light, while previously circumspect observers throw themselves upon you in a fit of idolatrous worship, the keyboard is probably fit for use.

Ah, Michael, suspect you might have aimed that oblique post above at me.

Apologies mate if my comment upset you, wasn't my intention.

It's just my tongue in cheek way of saying that I think if you've tested all the keys and controls you've been more than thorough - now have some fun and start playing your new toy!

What I was also suggesting is that the EP patches sound fantastic.

Toodle pip old chap, and again, sorry if I offended you!
