|
|
Following on from my previous question about converting a style from Genos. I've managed to split a Genos style into different midi parts for the intro etc.
Am in the style record mode. How do Import the different style part midi files into the Korg Style ? _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |

You can use markers (following Korg's specifications) and then import the whole thing at once.
Naming structure:

There's more videos on the subject if you're interested. _________________ Sam

Will the parts from the Yamaha be assigned to the right parts on the Korg ie the drum and bass tracks ? _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |

If you still have Yamaha style you can try software, check this post:

I don't know what channels the Yamaha keyboard uses for Style tracks. All you have to do is to assign each track to channels 9-16. It takes about 3 seconds in a DAW... . If you want the style to sound better, you can do more edits while you have the midi file open in there. At least that's what I would do. _________________ Sam

I used the midi bot to convert the slplit style in midi format.
Is it possible to copy the intro 2 to intro 1 ? _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |

Yes, but your questions are vague. You gotta be more specific. Where is this midi file now? Is it already imported in the keyboard? Is it imported in a DAW? ...etc. _________________ Sam

Copy intro 1 to an empty user location and save so you won't lose it. (Or you can temporarily write the whole style to an empty user slot)
Then copy intro 2 to intro 1. This will overwrite and replace intro 1. Then copy that intro 1 that you had saved to the user location back to intro 2.
I don't remember if there are other ways for doing this.

If I revoice a voice part in say drum track for intro1 will it revoice the drum track in all the variations. _________________ Gem Wk4, Technics Kn5000, Solton Ms60, Yamaha Psr K1, Korg Pa50sd, Tyros 4, Korg Pa700 |

No. Only for that Style Element...I think there's an option from the drop down menu where you can apply certain settings/parameters to all variations in one go, but can't remember if voicing is one of them. I hardly ever use the keyboard itself to make or edit styles so I forget stuff. _________________ Sam
