I should ask the same. It is a long time when PA700 and PA1000 are on the market. Maybe PA4X users dont understand, but file system in that KB-s is different. PA4X V2 had "Favorite banks" (10 Favorite, 3 User, 10 Direct Favorite and 3 Direct User Banks), but PA700 and PA1000 have only 12 "User" and "Direct User" Banks.
For User Banks from 04 to 12 it shows just "Out of Range: 256-1".
Even "Korg PA Manager" is working correctly and he did the changes in program very quickly, but SB Editor stays still in their two years old editor.
Really they wait and wanna that somebody will hack this program and will make the correct version?

It is now the 7th September and I have had my 700 for nearly a year and still no Songbook Editor that works.

The current version 2 works with a number of PA keyboards and it works with the 4X with the Osimo operating system.

Not good customer service by Korg.

Have to agree Biggles...A year is a long time...( not for an oak tree but for software ) Used the older SongBook but when I loaded it back into the Pa 700, alot of the settings had changed.

Hi Korg arranger KB fans,

It's now been over a year since the PA700/1000 were released and
these arrangers still aren't showing as keyboards supported by the Korg Songbook Editor (Version:2.0 Date:2016.05.11).

Any status update heard about when (or even if) a version of the Korg Songbook Editor compatible with the Korg PA700/1000 will become available?

In the meantime Is there 3rd party software out there to support editing Pa700/1000 songbook files on a PC?

Scott Cool

I had a response from Korg UK which indicates that the update to SE should be out by the end of the year

Biggles
sorry I meant this as a joke. And you are correct you cannot use a roland tone manager on any other keyboard then roland .

The songbook editor does not make Korg any money, so there's no real need no hurry to get it done.
We have a songbook inside the keyboard and it does all the functionality we need so we just need to wait.

It still works badly...
when saving from oryginal pa700 set - some style "out of range",
saving from pa700 to pa4x format - many style "out of range"...

Unless I'm missing something, I don't believe this free Cool Korg Songbook Editor program is intended for converting Songbook Data from one Pa keyboard model to another. It's simply a quicker more convenient way to create new /edit a specific model's Songbook entries on the PC vs doing it on the keyboard itself. - Scott

My first tryings - and for me seems that it works allmost correctly.
Now i see the right style resouce in user 1-12 area. That thing i was waiting.
Bad story is with Direct Folder. When i use in main Songbook the styles that are linked to Direct folder styles it can not found their names, but maybe this is better.

I save my SB in new place (and there is now only "SongBook" folder)
After reading this again it can not found the names of the styles but still it shows the indexes (placement) of that style.

Maybe You forgot change the Target Instrument? File-> Preferences -> Target.
On the PA4X (as far as i know) the styles are still in Favorite (1-10) and User (1-3) banks.
