|
|
Hi Fellas,
Just finished creating a wav file on Zoom r24. I wanted to play it on my Pa4x. I loaded the file onto USB---Inserted, and pressed Song. Pressed USB but there was nothing usable on the stick. Does the Pa play wav files?
Thanks Frank |

Thanks for replying. If not, then can a wav file be converted to Mp3, which the Pa4x does play? |

Sure, there are many ways. I use Audacity usually, which is FREE. _________________ DonM |

Yep this^^^.
I master the audio in Sonar create the WAV and then do the MP3 in Audacity. It may be free but it's about the best MP3 creator out there IMO. |

...Also there is a free (used to be anyhow) app called "All2MP3" which converts anything to MP3 - but Audacity is great (for other things too!!)
(Whoops - All2MP3 may be Mac only - not sure)

FYI, you can also convert to MP3 in iTunes too. |

Don't forget... the need for small file sizes has pretty much disappeared with today's GB sized SD cards and USB sticks. So encode at 320kbps all you like. It will sound better!
Just remember, if using iTunes, set the encoding to MP3... at default it is set to AAC (which the Korg can't read).
I do find it weird though that the Korg can't play .WAV (which requires no codec to convert straight to sound) with the player, but can play .WAV's with the sampler. Whereas the player can play MP3's, but the sampler can't play MP3's. Obviously, both systems exist, but there seems an unnecessary roadblock with the player.
Most systems use less processing power to play and record .WAV's. |
